No one else has had an injury like yours to a patient like you. Your recovery will be as fast as safety possible by your willingness to push your whole mind, body, and soul to every limit you thought you had, or it could be as blissful as possible if you relax a bit, smile and enjoy a natural winter and growthful spring, depending on your goals and current situation. My advice to you in either course you choose is to do it intentionally. Always push hard toward your goal, and when you can’t push anymore, push a little harder for me and then more for all of us here in the group. Also, it’s never wise to be complacent in anything- especially if you really release and let grow your inner beasts (even if it’s a hibernating bear.) Be ready to evaluate, assess, choose, execute your new plan weekly/daily/hourly as necessary and be willing to change the vector of your force when you need to. Kind of like interval training, be a bear four days a week and a gazelle (or a stumbling newborn deer) the other three. I would not recommend doing anything half-way, do or do not; push hard either way (if you’re doing nothing today, get on the couch and do nothing so you’ll be ready for something else the next day.) Listen to your body for the changes, it will speak to you and question the heck out of your doctors.
