Share, Sync, Back up, and Secure your files.

There are many solutions to these four related file maintenance tasks.

Sharing refers to any way you may give another person access to your files, this could be via a network, or even just handing a burnt CD to your friend.

Syncing is the next step about sharing, it implies that after the initial ’sharing’ of the files, the two copies of the files are kept up to date with changes made on the other copy.

Backup is next to last. Backing up is the planned intent to always have at least two shared and synced copies of your data under normal circumstances and to always have at least one remaining copy at all times under any possible adverse circumstance.

Security is the final step. This is the planned intent for only you or those you authorize to ever have access to your files.

Any good plan needs to be aware of, and plan for these tasks.
